The Town of Kendenup is located four Kilometres East of Albany Highway, on the tourist drive to the
scenic Stirling Ranges. Agriculture in the area consists of cereal crops such as wheat, barley, canola,
oats and some sunflowers. Cattle and sheep are farmed for wool and meat production.
Maize, Olives, herbs, gourmet vegetable gardens and fish farming are new industries in the district.
From September to November the wild flowers are plentiful within the townsite and the surrounding arrears.
Botanists have recorded over 500 varieties of which 30 to 40 are found nowhere else in the world.
